A change was voted on and approved by the BOD to increase the Co-Angler limit from 3 to 5 bass for this year’s State Championship on October 11-12, 2014. Both Boater and Non-Boater will have a five fish limit at this tournament.
Congratulations to the participants in the Junior State Championships held in Palatka, Florida June 22, 2014. There were fifty six juniors and twenty eight boat captains that competed in the tournament. It was a typical summer day with highs in the nineties and afternoon storms. Unfortunately the afternoon storms arrived at the end of the weigh in and continued through the trophy presentation.
Our juniors are heading to the National Championships in Columbia, South Carolina on August 15, 2015. Please take the opportunity to wish each competitor good luck and most of all to have a good time.
Congratulations to Cody Hadden for winning the 15-18 year old division. Cody is a member of the River Christian Youth Club in Jacksonville, Florida. Cody caught a 5 fish limit weighting in at 12.78 pounds with a big fish of 7.24 pounds.
Congratulations to Garrett Manley for winning the 10-14 year old division. He lives in Winter Haven, Florida. Garrett attends The Roberts Academy for Dyslexia in Lakeland, FL and will be in the 5th grade next year.

Congratulations to Lamar Middleton, fishing as a co-angler for winning the large fish of the tournament of 5 lbs. 12 oz. Lamar set the mark to beat midway through the second day. His fish with stood numerous challenges on day three.
I want to thank every team member for the long hours and hard work they put in at Gadsden. The Florida team was in striking range of second place at the end of day two, trailing by 9 pounds. Unfortunately day three was not a good day. We finished in seventh place.
Congratulations goes out the Alabama state team for winning the Southern Regional for two consecutive years.

Congratulations to Mark Lundgren FBF State Champion and David Glenn FBF CO-AOY for advancing to the TBF National Championship next spring.
Mark finished the Southern Regional in Gadsden Alabama in third place with 37.5 pounds. Mark had a five fish limit each day of the tournament. On day one he had five fish for 13 lbs. 13 oz., day two Mark weighed in 12 lbs. 6 oz. and day three 11 lbs. 15 oz.
David Glenn finished the Southern Regional in twenty fifth place with 30 lbs. 1 oz,. as a co-angler. David finished in the top ten on day one with five fish weighing 13 lbs. 7 oz. Day two he had 8 lbs. 1 oz. and day three 8 lbs. 9 oz. for a three day total of 30 lbs. 1 oz.
